4. Purpose of processing personal data

We handle personal information about customer relationships or other relevant relationships for the purpose of managing, analyzing, and marketing. Disclosure to partners only takes place for uses that support the Registry's mission. Main purposes:

Customer Letters and Bulletins
Marketing for our own purposes (no customer information is disclosed to third parties)

7. Regular deliveries of information

When registering domain names and updating contact information, the domain contact information will be forwarded to the registry for the domain name manager concerned. For Fi domain names, the information will be provided to Traficom and, for other domain name terminals, to NameSRS. The data is also transferred through the registers to the public WHOIS register. Information necessary to process payments is also shared with payment providers. Payment-related recipients and international transfers are described in sections 9–10.

8. Principles of Registry Security

Manually-maintained material is located in areas where unauthorized access has been blocked.

The data processed electronically is located on a well-guarded server in Kokkola, Finland. Access to the server is restricted by a firewall. Physical access to data is prevented by access control and other security measures. Access to information requires adequate rights. Only designated persons have the right to process and maintain the information in the register. Users are bound by confidentiality. Registry data is backed up safely and can be restored as needed.

9. Payments and Stripe

We use Stripe Checkout to process online payments. When you proceed to pay with Stripe, we send Stripe the email address on your order, order and payment-method identifiers, product names, quantities and prices, the total amount, currency and checkout language. These details link the payment to your order and support order processing. This integration does not send your personal identity number, account password or product free-text fields to Stripe.

You enter payment details on Stripe's hosted checkout page or with your chosen payment provider. Our shop does not receive or store your full card number or security code. We receive the payment identifier, status, amount and currency to verify payment for your order.

Stripe may collect payment and contact details, and technical information such as your IP address and device details. Stripe and your selected payment provider process data to handle payments, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Stripe's role as controller or processor depends on the processing activity. Stripe operates internationally. Data may be processed outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Stripe describes its transfer safeguards, such as applicable adequacy decisions and EU Standard Contractual Clauses, in its privacy policy.

Our legal bases for payment-related processing are performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations and legitimate interests in payment security and fraud prevention. We retain order and payment records as needed for the customer relationship, payment enquiries and applicable statutory retention obligations. 10. PayPal and other payment providers

If you select PayPal, order and customer information necessary to process the payment is shared with PayPal. See the PayPal Privacy Statement. A payment provider you select on Stripe's checkout page may process the necessary payment information under its own terms and privacy notice.
